Last Thursday was practically the last day we could be in the garden with a warm sun on our backs....and that was almost a whole month later than usual. We've had the most amazing several weeks of "Indian Summer". Although it has felt odd for temperatures to be so high this late into the fall, I have enjoyed every minute of it. It has been wonderful to have beautiful, warm weather. Finally, over the past few days, winter has arrived. Wind, a little rain, snow in the mountains, temperatures dropping day and night. This year we were lucky to dig our potato crop in the warmth of a late fall sun.
