Dill Pickles

When I was young, my mother canned a lot of different things.  We kids helped peel, slice and chop.  By the time I was old enough to learn how to do the actual canning Mom didn't can much any more.  As an adult I had no interest and was convinced it was too much work.  But growing a garden has motivated me to learn.  My sister-in-law and I got together a couple of years ago in her kitchen to help eachother figure it out.  Now, after two seasons of stumbling around a bit and making several errors, I've gained my confidence.  And guess what???  It isn't so hard after all!  These jars are lovely with fresh dill pickle ingredients ready for brine.
