Proud Mama and her babies. She doesn't take kindly to my coming into the nursery to replenish her chick food and water. No appreciation for her care giver! She takes seriously any perceived threat to her babies and even flared out like a turkey with all her feathers unfurled when I came in after they were first born. She's in a section of the coop where the door is open to give her family ventilation and fresh air. Chicken wire completely surrounds the opening, including the "roof" so the cats can't get in for a look around. So far they seem oblivious that there is a small, catchable lunch in the coop.
