Seeds

While the chickens are eating sunflower seeds that have fallen from the bird feeder above, I am seeding onions, shallots, and leeks indoors.  The moment the first seeds go onto the living room window sill, I know spring is truly here.  Although it's hard to imagine at the moment, soon it will warm up enough to kneel on the ground and put my hands into the earth.
