Shrouded mountains

Today the mountains are shrouded in clouds and mist, no longer visable from my west facing porch. I love a day like this. I grew up in the plentiful rain of the Pacific Northwest and moved to Montana where the average rainfall places me right in the middle of a semi-arid climate. What was I thinking? From one extreme to the next. At least when global warming arrives I'll be ready. Today I'm grateful the gardens are quietly moving into their winter slumber and I no longer have to fret about who needs water.
