It never rains in August. I don't remember the last time it rained in August. For 24 hours it has rained. Practically non-stop. This morning the ground is damp everywhere. Squishy under foot in some places. Dark and damp in others. Surely this rain has put down fires brewing in our surrounding mountains. Clearly it has washed everyone's face and given every creature a deep, long drink.Rain
